Close to 180 sportsman racers will
converge on Willowbank Raceway for two big events across the
one weekend of March 19-21.
The filming of new reality drag racing show 1320x – from the
makers of US hit ‘Pinks All Out’ - will be followed
swiftly by the all-new Street Machine Pro Street Nationals.
Managing Director of Willowbank Raceway Steve Bettes said the
three days had the makings of one of the largest sportsman
drag racing weekends in Australian history.
“With 1320x and the Street Machine Pro Street Nationals both
taking place at Willowbank Raceway over March 19-21, it is
going to be a massive weekend for grassroots drag racing,”
said Bettes.
“We have racers like Johnny Wilson, Street Machine of the
Year winner Angela Dow, Terri Sander, Christine Kilmister and
Collin Willshire all taking part, with a large number of
racers entered in both events, so there will be plenty for the
fans to see.
“With a Show and Shine also taking place as well as the
opportunities for the fans to walk through the pits and see
the drivers and cars up close, the March weekend is a great
opportunity for the fans of grassroots drag racing to immerse
themselves in the action.”
The massive March weekend of racing kicks off on Friday March
19, continuing through to Sunday March 21, with a change to
the Friday schedule as indicated below.
Following March’s grassroots spectacular, the major event
action continues for Willowbank Raceway with the ENZED
Australian Top Fuel Championships (featuring Top Fuel, Pro
Stock and Pro Stock Bike) on April 17 and 18, and the
season-ending Castrol EDGE Winternationals on June 10-13.

Friday March 19 – Test event for 1320x and Street Machine
Pro Street Nationals
Friday March 19 will now be a test event for entrants of the
1320x and Street Machine Pro Street Nationals events
1320X entrants have FREE entry. Pro Street entrants who have
entered Sunday only can also run on Friday and pay $40 at the
gate to test on Friday.

- 3 rounds Qualifying – 10am to 1.30pm
